At Octopus, we supply the popular sizes of American paper. This includes letter paper and legal paper, which are used in the US instead of the A4 that we use in the UK and Europe.
The US size papers can fit into standard UK sized envelopes, however they are generally over-sized in length or width.

American Legal Size Envelopes
The American legal size paper is 14 x 8.5″ (356 x 216mm) and we supply a heavyweight envelopes that will hold a document that is up to half an inch thick.
The size of the brown heavyweight US legal envelope is 15 x 10″ (381 x 254mm).
US Legal Large Brown EnvelopesWe also supply a white envelope that will accept a few sheets of US legal paper. The size of this envelope is 14 x 9″ (352 x 229mm).
US Legal Standard White EnvelopesAmerican Letter Size Envelopes
US letter size paper is 11 x 8.5″ (279 x 216mm) and we stock envelopes that will accept this size paper either flat or folded.
The brown heavyweight envelopes for American size paper that we stock is 12 x 10″ (or 305x250mm) and is big enough to hold approximately 100 sheets of US letter size paper comfortably.
It is made from 115gsm manilla paper and has a very secure peel and seal flap closure.
US Letter Brown EnvelopeWe also supply a white version of the US letter envelope. This is made from a slightly thinner paper, but still a great quality 100gsm. This envelope will also accept approximately 100 sheets, but isn’t white as strong as the brown manilla.
US Letter White EnvelopeIf you only have a few sheets of US letter size paper to send in the post, we also stock the 9 x 4″ envelope (229 x 102mm). This size of envelope will hold a few sheets of US letter size paper folded into 3.
The envelope is made from a thinner 80gsm paper and has a gummed flap. This means that it has to be moistened in order for the envelope to be sealed.
