If you want to make more time to do the things that matter to you then read on.

These 6 Inbox Zero Hero steps will make a difference

Email problems

GET A FLYING START

Give yourself 30 minutes at the start of the day to get your inbox in order. This is where you flag important emails, respond to urgent customer requests and delete as much as you can. This is key to being an email zero hero.

TURN IT OFF

Turn your email off. Yep, that’s right. Turn it off until you are ready to deal with them and when you are, deal with all the emails in one batch.

DON’T SKIM

Don’t skim. Research shows that people skim-read all their emails first, and then go back through them and decide what to do with them, which is like doing the job twice.

Be a true Inbox Zero Hero. In 6 simple steps.

DELETE UNWANTED EMAILS

Hit delete. So many people are scared to hit the delete button, but trust us, once you get used to it, it can be quite liberating!

FLAG IT

Flag: flagging important emails that you need to respond to is a great way to get a visual of what needs doing, and puts you in charge of your inbox, not the other way around.

FOLDERS

Folders: we found that a lot of our emails were just for information that we might need at a later date. Create folders for these so you can refer back to them when you need to

How do you keep yours under control? We would love to know!
