Analysis books and cash books have been in use for years and years and have been becoming less common since the introduction of computers in the 1980’s. There are still some businesses though that require accounts books for certain applications where a book is more useful.
Cash Books
Octopus supply cash books from manufacturers such as Collins Cathedral, Guildhall, Simplex and Evrite. We stock a selection of accounts books, however we are able to source the whole range and generally deliver them within 1-2 working days.
Collins Cathedral Books
Collins Cathedral Analysis books come in 2 sizes, the 69 series which is A4 size and the 150 series which is A4 plus half the size again (315mm wide). The Cathedral books are available in 2 thicknesses 96 pages and 192 pages, the reason being that you can use one book per financial year. The range of Collins accounts books begins with the 69.3.1 cash book and goes up to the 69.3/9.1 petty cash book, which has a 3 debit and 9 credit ruling.
Collins D540 Series Books
The Collins D540 series books are a range of double ledger books D540-2-6C and D540-2-7L that have 192 fully casebound pages that are made from high quality azure paper. The D540 range also has a minute book D540-2-9MB that is indexed and is made from the same high quality paper.
Guildhall Books
Guildhall books have a blue cover and are available in a selection of sizes, although the most popular size these days is the A4. The guildhall books start with a 2 cash column book and go up to the huge 61 series 6 debit 20 credit petty cash book. Guildhall also make the famous Headliner accounts book range which has slightly shorter pages and a static heading in the book which means that you don’t have to write the heading on every page.
