Disposable gloves have become a standard item in many businesses since the pandemic began. We supply a full range of clear and blue gloves.
Standard Gloves for Everyday Tasks
Our standard gloves that we supply every day are made from either vinyl or latex. Due to some people finding latex irritates their skin, we tend to supply vinyl where possible. We supply our everyday gloves in either clear or blue vinyl.see our range
Food Grade Gloves
Most of the gloves that we supply can be used in the food industry. Blue gloves are often used in food manufacture as they are more likely to be seen if they end up in a pie.
Vinyl gloves are comfortable and soft to touch. They are the most popular gloves that we supply as they can be worn for longer periods in circumstances where hygiene is not the main issue. These gloves are often used in workshops or engineering environments to keep hands clean or to protect against skin irritants.
Latex gloves are strong and stretchy, which means that they can last longer when in use. Our latex gloves tend to be available in clear rather than blue.
Nitrile gloves are made from a stronger material and are resistant to oil, grease and many other chemicals. They are also more resilient to tears and punctures, so will often last longer than ordinary vinyl or latex gloves.
Blue gloves are often used in food and catering, however since the pandemic they are now used for many applications where cross contamination between people is possible. These are available in the full range of sizes and in powdered and powder free.
Clear gloves are quite often used in shops and hospitality where gloves are required, but are required to be a bit less conspicuous. They are available in small, medium, large and XL and in both powdered and non-powdered.
There are 4 main sizes of disposable gloves, those being XL, large, medium and small. The most popular are medium and large, which tend to fit the majority of hands.
Powdered or Unpowdered
The blue gloves that Octopus supply are available in powdered and powder free options. Powdered gloves are lightly dusted with talcum powder making them easier to put on and get off. They can also help prevent sweating if worn for extended periods. Non-powdered gloves are completely free of powder, so these are used in areas where dust contamination might be a problem.
All gloves are supplied in packs of 50 pairs (100 gloves).
Both our blue or clear gloves are made ambidextrous, so it does not matter which hand is which as they are all identical.
Face Shields & Face Masks
In addition to blue gloves and other PPE equipment, we also supply face shields and masks. We have stocks of both available for click and collect from our Stockport office in South Manchester the same day or next day and delivery across the UK.
